Chao Chao San Vicente

This week was just like every other week! We contacted and taught lessons and had our meetings BUT, 2 big things happened. Number 1 we found out cambios and I am leaving San Vicente. I am really really sad because I thought for sure Hermana Dias would leave and I would have at least one more chance but it's not what the Lord wants so I am leaving to Talca Panamericana to open the sector. It's going to be a big challenge to open a sector and start from 0 but It'll be good. Number 2 is that we watched the Dedication of the Temple in Concepcion and it was awesome! The spirit was so strong.

Also this week a random man walked up to us and told us that he wanted to say a prayer. So we said okay and he started to pray with his eyes open staring at us! It was so weird and then after he said "Thank you!" and walked away.. hahaha

Remember Juan Bautista that is reading the BoM every day? Well comes to find out that he is member! What crazy?! Yeah so we were shocked haha!

We have a person we are teaching really awesome named Donald but he wont accept a baptismal date and it is really sad. We had a really frank lesson with him and just said everything he needed to hear and he still won't accept one so we are thinking we might have to give him some time. He is really ready to be baptized but he has his agency,.

The Elders had a baptism of a young kid named Sebastian and it was really good! He was really excited. He is the first member of his family so hopefully he can help his family.
We also have been visiting the members to say goodbye and it has been really really sad. But here I go on to bigger and better things ðŸ¤ž

Yesterday the Temple Presidents wife talked in the dedication and it was really awesome. She talked about the relying on the Lord and his timing. It really helped me remember that we are here to do the will of the Lord and that we chose to come here and learn and grow, It made me think a lot about the mission and that I chose to come and chose to have this great opportunity to learn and grow.

Have a great week all!

Looking for the Little Things.

Well, This week was pretty good but we really had to look for the little things that keep us going and progressing.

We taught a man named Juan who received missionaries before and he reads the BOM every night!! What?! Pure Gold!

We learned how to make butterflies out of paper! #skills

We had zone conference and I got to see Hermana Aquino!! I love that girl lots
💞

We ate the best Empanadas in the whole country of Chile!! We are teaching a lady and her mom makes empanadas and they are so yummy!
Me and Hermana Aquino!

We talked about prayer in one of our lessons and we asked when they have felt the need to pray harder than ever before. And it made me think a lot about how much we prayed when Drew was in the Hospital and I really think that was when my testimony of Prayer really was strengthened. Prayer is really the only way we can communicate with our Heavenly Father. I love the power of Prayer.

We also went to a baptism this week for a kid who was receiving the lessons here in San Vicente but then moved to Peumo so we went and it was so spiritual. He said in his testimony that he wants everyone in the whole world to feel Jesus Christ close to them like  he feels. I almost cried haha.

But that's about it! Have a great week and Look for the Little Things.

Muchas Nuevas Personas

Wow, THis week we worked HARD! We found 14 new people to teach this week! It was awesome!

We were going to the house of a cute lady named Susana and a dog that lives in the street almost bit me! Its teeth scratched my leg and it was SO scary! I screamed and the lady came out and started hitting the dog with a stick and she told us we need to start walking around with sticks haha.

We watched the women's Conference and it was Amazing! I loved it!! We are reading the Book of Mormon and I have read it 3 times in the mission but I learn something new everytime I start it again! Its awesome!

We had intercambios and Hermana Roberts came here with me in San Vicente and it was a really good day! Even though sometimes I miss staying with my companion haha.

One day we were sitting in the park and a lady came up to us and started asking us questions and asked us to go to her house another day and teach her because she loves talking about God. It was really awesome and we are excited to visit her this week!
Family Home Evening with the Ruz Meyer Family

We had a family home evening with a cute family! They invited us so they could celebrate my birthday! It was awesome! They even had a princess crown haha! It was super nice of them! They are the Family Ruz Meyer.

Well that's all for this week! We are one year down and 6 months to go!

Have a great week!

CONFERENCE!

My Birthday sign!
Well this week was good. Nothing really awesome happened...I'm just glad that I'll never have to live a birthday away from home again if that sums it up... haha

This week we had a lesson with a cute lil old man that told us that he really likes it when we visit him because he gets a feeling of peace and joy! It made me feel good that we really always can have the spirit with us so that others can feel joy and peace.
We had our interviews with President Harris and he is really a man inspired from God. He needed to be my mission President and I needed to be here in the mission in this specific time. Nothing happens just to happen. He really just talks and makes everything seem possible.

We went to get ice cream and eat at a restaurant for my birthday. It was good. Then we had an activity and we played Jeopardy and all of the members started fighting and it was kind of terrible. There is a little lack of Humility here but we are working on it.Well General Conference was awesome! I loved that they talked a lot about families and how important it is to strengthen our own family and then help
Hermana Dias is the best, she made me a birthday sign!
others.

I also loved that they talked about taking upon us the name of Christ. The Sacrament is really a time that we should be prepared to receive revelation and be focused on the things we can do better in the next week. We are all Shepards. Go looking for those in need.

I loved the talk by Elder Ulisses Soares! Wow, literally sums up how we feel as missionaries.

If you didn't have the chance to listen to Conference I highly suggest it. And if you watched it, I highly suggest using your smart phones (because you all have one) and study them more, it will bless your life.
Have a great week!

The members are Bakan

Well this week was good! We have a new goal to meet with the members a lot. One every day. So we are getting to know the members a lot more and we are gaining their confidence.

There is a lady who buys food from the States and sells it here and it's so crazy to see the things she has. Like granola bars and the drink arizona and fruit snacks! I told her I could buy her whole store, because they are stuff we always have in my house haha.

Well since the other Elder here is latino now I have to teach the english classes and I get sooo nervous haha because it's one thing to speak a language and another to teach it! But it's helping me perfect my spanish.

It rained this week which kind of sucked but we pulled out the good ol rain boots and kept working!

There is a sister here who has parkinson's disease and so she has a lot of attacks and her whole body shakes so we went to visit her this week and she's just the cutest lil old lady ever!

We found a lady who had received the missionaries before and she was super open to learn more and she's basically ready to be baptized but she isn't married so we are going to work with that.

I'm sorry my pictures didn't send! I'll try to send them again this week! I don't know what happened.

But today we also went biking and hiking! It was really awesome and this time we went to a bridge and a lake! It was super awesome;:)

Have a great week! Enjoy Conference to the máximo!
