Merry Christmas!

This week was good! It is SOOOO HOT here in Chile I am dying! Haha Its 34°C

We had Zone Conference! It was really good and we talked a lot about the atonement and how we can better use it in our lives.

We contacted a Jehovah Witness this week and she basically just wanted to fight with us, hahahahah, but we were really nice and just told her that God loves her.

We had intercambios and they are always days of miracles! We found the cutest family of 5 and they are really excited about learning and they loved the book of Mormon and so we are excited to keep teaching them!

A lady who was excommunicated from the church about 4 years ago was baptized again this week and it was really special to see her progress!

We had a really fun activity in the ward and we sang a lot of Christmas songs!

I hope you all have a great Christmas!

Cambios

Hermana Bracho my new Companion, she is great!
This week was really really really long. But it is over and we are going to start a new week that will be even better!

This week we had cambios and we waited in the bus terminal for 7 and a half hours waiting for our companions to get to Talca. It was a long day. I studied the Book of Mormon for like 4 hours at least. But Hermana Bracho got here and we are doing great!

We had misson counsel this week for all of the leaders and because I am an hermana Leader a lone and so is hermana Aquino our companions stayed together and I got to be with Hermana Aquino for a day! It was great! I love her!

We woke up early one day to help one of the new Hermanas, Hermana Anderson, learn how to ride a bike haha! It was funny and good but I was tired all day haha. But now she can ride a bike and that's what is important!

Okay, Wilson or Elder Seguel is in the mission! Wilson is a kid from Chepica that was really less active when I was there and we taught him and helped him come back to church and stuff and now he is serving a mini mission here and is in my zone! It was such a great day when I got to see him and see how much he has progressed! These are the reasons I am on the mission!

Hermana Maria is doing soo good! She gave away 2 Books of Mormon this week to her friends! She is a missionary already! Woohoo!

This week was the Primary Program in the ward and it was so cute! It made me remember the Lovely Primary Program at home that sometimes caused more laughter and also tears than any other thing!  haha!

Have a great week and a Merry Christmas if I can't write next Monday!

Baptisms

Marias Baptism!
This week was good! We saw a lot of miracles! We had more lessons than last week and we found even more people to teach! It was awesome! A good way to end the Cambio.

So to start we got cambios and.........I am staying and Hermana Howells is leaving to go train and open an area! I will be an Hermana Leader alone and my companion will just be my co companion. It'll be really different to be an Hermana leader alone but it'll be good. I am happy to be staying in Panamericana. The members are BAKAN.

We had intercambios this week with the hermanas from Piduco. Hermana Valdivia was my companion and we had a great day! We contacted some super awesome people and then Hermana Valdivia with her companion went to visit them the next day and they are progressing a lot! Its awesome!
We are teaching a less active family and their daughter Montseratt is really cute. She is 16 and wants to start going back to church and she has a goal to go to the temple to do baptisms for the dead in 4 months and it just so happens that that is when my lovely family will be here in Chile sooooo, surprise we are going to go to the temple with her!!

Maria se bautizó!!! Woohoo! She is so cute! I love her a lot! She was so ready to be baptized and she just fits right in with the ward like a member!

The elders also had 3 baptisms! It was really awesome! They baptized 3 young women! It was really special. I love the mission!

I hope you all have a great week!

Sacrifice and Faith

This week was amazing! We had 19 lessons with the people we are teaching! (that's a lot for those of you who don't know) haha! We worked HARD

Well, Teresa and Maria passed their interviews for baptism BUT Teresa is now hiding from us so that's sad. We went to her house to go to the church with her and no one came out and then we just went to church and in the night we called her and she answered because it was her voice but said it was her sister and that she was out of town... But we are hoping she was just scared and will be able to get baptized another day.

But on the bright side, Maria is finally going to get baptized! She has had like 4 fechas and finally is going to get baptized!

This week we also visiting Ximena and she is getting a lot better! She is so cute, she told us we are like daughters for her!

Okay funny story, we were riding in bikes really fast to the house one night and there are speed bumps and Hermana Howells didn't see it and I thought in my mind that one was coming up and next thing I see is heremana Howells flying, literally flying, with her arms up in the air and then on the ground! She crashed a good one! Then I was trying really hard not to run into her so I was dragging my feet on the ground haha! It was crazy but we had a good laugh after I knew she was okay.

One morning a guy called us and told us he wanted us to go visit him so of course we just dropped all of our plans and went to visit him! He is really awesome and has desires to learn more!

We found a really cute family from Venezuela. The mom has been here 1 year in chile and the kids and the grandma like 4 months. They said they want to become closer to God. They are amazing.

We also had a service project for the day of national service.

ah and Donald from San Vicente was baptized! I wasn't there but I taught him all the way up until his baptism!

Have a great week!

Thanksgiving

This week was good.
Hermanas in my zone!

On Monday night we went to a reference from a member named Ema, she is from Peru. She let us in a we taught her right  away and she is awesome! In her prayer she said "thank you for answering my prayer and sending these two cute girls here and please let them come back again" It was so cute!

We also are helping Francisco and Maria and Teresa get ready for their baptism on the 7th! and for the first time Fransisco prayed this week!
I got to see Hermana Aquino! Woohoo! I love her lots

We had Zone Conference this week on Thanksgiving so they made us a thanksgiving lunch but it was Nothing like a good home made thanksgiving meal but at least they tried! and that's what counts. I looked better than it tasted jaja.
We went to visit Anita again that lives in the country. She is so cute! We taught her the Restoration and she said that is makes sense!

We taught a man named Felipe that is from a different religion and he knows SO much about the Bible and I basically know NOTHING about the bible so it'll be interesting to keep teaching him! We will have to study a lot! But thats okay! Its good to study and gain more knowledge!

Well that's about all for the week! It was a good week and we saw a lot of miracles!

Crazy Weather

In our "rain gear" !
This week was good but man the weather is crazy! It is sooo hot and then the next day it rains!

What the heck?! Just pick! Haha but it's been fun leaving the house with leggings and a coat and then after lunch getting sunburnt! ha. One day we walked around in trash bags again...

Chilean bread!
This week was good but LOCO we traveled a lot again. We had 2 intercambios. One with the hermanas in Jardín del Valle and one with the hermana trainers in Rancagua. It was really awesome and I learned a lot but a funny story from our time in Rancagua is that we were there in their house studying and one of the Hermanas went to the bathroom and then never came back for a long time and then another hermana came to ask a question and there was water running out of the bathroom! She had flooded the bathroom and wasn't going to tell anyone! Haha but then chao chao personal study, we helped her clean the carpet and the bathroom haha.

We visited Ximena again this week and she is still amazing and she asked us "hermanas if I don't feel ready to be baptized yet will you still come visit me?" We said "YES of course!" She is learning so much and is progressing a lot!

One day it was raining really hard and we were contacting and finally a cute family let us in and we shared with them and they were so nice and we are really seeing the blessings of working diligently.

We went with the bishop to a lady that lives really far away. She is super cute and is willing to learn more.

Well that's about all for the week! Have a great week!

Elder Gong

On our way to Rancagua for the conference.
Wow, This week was awesome. We saw a lot of miracles again. We found a lot of new people to teach and kept teaching the people we found last week!

Me and Hermana Howells

One day we received a reference from Elder Faundes, who is an area 70, of a lady named Ximena. She was in a car accident and broke a lot of bones and is now on bed rest. The bishop went to visit her first and then gave us her directions. We were like thanks and said we would pass by. The next day we didn't have plans to pass by her house but one of our lessons fell through and I felt so strongly that we needed to pass by her house. So we went and she let us in immediately and she started telling us about her accident and I was almost crying because the spirit was so strong. Then there was a pause and she said "I thought you weren't going to come. Yesterday the man (the bishop) said that 2 angels were going to come visit me today and so I waited all morning long and you never came." Well then we really started to cry for real. She is a very, very special lady. I know that she was in the accident so that she could receive the gospel and that we needed to be the "angels" to find her. Now the story gets better, on Saturday Elder Gong and his wife and Elder Bragg and his wife and Elder Faundes and his wife (the same one who gave us the reference) came to talk to us. Wow how special was that!  I'll write more of that later but, Elder Gong gave some time for people to share experiences so of course we shared about Ximena and as we talked Elder Gong stopped us and asked Elder Faundes to come over and he asked him if he trusted us enough to take care of Ximena and he said "yes of course I do" Well it was an experience I will never forget. Being in the presence of an apostle of God and other servants of him and then being able to know that he trusts in us to be here was just something unforgettable!!
Our Conference with Elder & Sister Gong, Elder & Sister Bragg and Elder & Sister Faundes.  Can you find me?

This week we also had interviews and President Harris is just so inspired. He told me that "We are not sissy little girls" Haha He is so funny.

We put a baptismal date with a cute old lady named Teresa! She's awesome!

Okay, the conference from Elder Gong was awesome!!! He talked a lot about how we are called to our missions for a lot of reasons and that we need to learn more about the doctrine of Christ always!

It was a good week!  Have a great week!

Muchos Milagros

My new companion Hermana Howells.
This week was crazy! We traveled a lot for cambios and also because we are hermana Leaders so we had to go to Rancagua and because its my first time being a hermana leader we had to stay for another meeting! It was a lot of meetings but it was good and we learned a lot!

We also started the week with 0 people to teach and we ended the week with 11 new people and 5 of them went to church so that was a huge miracle!

Forgot the umbrellas!
One day this week it rained and we forgot our umbrellas so we got soaking wet haha! It was my last day with hermana Dias. We went to say goodbye to the cute members in San Vicente. It was good and also kind of sad...
This week was really crazy and we are just really excited to keep working hard in Talca.

Have a great week!

Chao Chao San Vicente

This week was just like every other week! We contacted and taught lessons and had our meetings BUT, 2 big things happened. Number 1 we found out cambios and I am leaving San Vicente. I am really really sad because I thought for sure Hermana Dias would leave and I would have at least one more chance but it's not what the Lord wants so I am leaving to Talca Panamericana to open the sector. It's going to be a big challenge to open a sector and start from 0 but It'll be good. Number 2 is that we watched the Dedication of the Temple in Concepcion and it was awesome! The spirit was so strong.

Also this week a random man walked up to us and told us that he wanted to say a prayer. So we said okay and he started to pray with his eyes open staring at us! It was so weird and then after he said "Thank you!" and walked away.. hahaha

Remember Juan Bautista that is reading the BoM every day? Well comes to find out that he is member! What crazy?! Yeah so we were shocked haha!

We have a person we are teaching really awesome named Donald but he wont accept a baptismal date and it is really sad. We had a really frank lesson with him and just said everything he needed to hear and he still won't accept one so we are thinking we might have to give him some time. He is really ready to be baptized but he has his agency,.

The Elders had a baptism of a young kid named Sebastian and it was really good! He was really excited. He is the first member of his family so hopefully he can help his family.
We also have been visiting the members to say goodbye and it has been really really sad. But here I go on to bigger and better things 🤞

Yesterday the Temple Presidents wife talked in the dedication and it was really awesome. She talked about the relying on the Lord and his timing. It really helped me remember that we are here to do the will of the Lord and that we chose to come here and learn and grow, It made me think a lot about the mission and that I chose to come and chose to have this great opportunity to learn and grow.

Have a great week all!
