Chepica Got Talent

Me and Hermana Aquino, so glad we are staying together for another transfer!

This week on Monday we went to Patricios house and played Uno haha. It was super fun and a good way to get to have more confidence with him. I won the 2 times we played and he said he didn't want to play anymore because he kept losing haha.

On Tuesday we had to go to the PDI in San Fernando for Hermana Aquinos visa but she couldn't do it because it was their day of anniversary so they were closed. Then in the afternoon we went to Martas house and taught about the Sabbath Day in like a family night kind of way. We also learned how to make calzones rotos(a dessert). It was a really good lesson. I love her family :)

So on Wednesday we went to San Ferndando again and got it all worked out. After we had to go to Pichilemu for their activity of the Book of Mormon which was really good. We got a lot of references. It was good and we got to take pictures of the beach. Then at night we got a call from the elders saying that President Harris called them and he is closing Chepica for the Elders, so now we have all of Chepica to work. I also got my package! Woohoo. 

On Thursday we went to Peralillo for another activity of the Book of Mormon and didnt have quite as much success but it was still good. In the afternoon we had English classes and they are a HIT we have about 10 people come every Thursday and they are loving it!

On Friday we had the activity of the Book of Mormon in Chepica and had success! A lot of references for just us because now there aren't Elders. We then had lunch with Rut, our investigator who was baptized but never got the Holy Ghost. She's awesome and has desires to be baptized again but she lives really far away and doesn't have a car and there aren't buses on Sunday so we need to figure out a way to get her to church.

On Saturday we had a NOCHE DE TALENTOS!!! It was awesome! We decorated all pretty and had ALL of Martas family came! Even the ones that live in Santiago to watch her sing!! It was awesome. Then we found our Cambios and, Drum Roll......WE ARE STAYING TOGETHER! Woohoo. God answers our prayers haha. I am super excited to stay in Chepica with Hermana Aquino, it's not very often that we stay together for 3 cambios but we have a lot of luck!

On Sunday we had a pretty good turn out with members at church. There were about 8. Next Sunday President Harris is coming to Chepica so we have been practicing a song to sing for him.

Marry Handsome and Tall

 This week was super good and full of crazy adventures!

On Tuesday we watched the Priesthood Devotional with our District, It was super awesome and the songs are so great and we can feel the spirit so strongly. If you haven't seen it I invite you to watch it! 

On Wednesday we had our Zone Conference and we learned a lot about the Holy Ghost and the importance of always having him with us. Somos tres, it's not just our companionship we are 3 one with the spirit. We also learned about receiving revelation and we read some of President Nelsons talk about revelation. We need to be always receiving personal revelation so we can know what do to and where to go. It will be spiritually impossible to live without receiving personal revelation. 

At the conference Hermana Hamm one of the marriage missionaries said "you've gotta find a man who is Handsome and Tall. And you can do it by receiving revelation personal.¨ Hahah so when I get home I'm on the lookout for Handsome and tall;) 

MADSEN IS BACK, he left to live in Santiago but he couldn't find work so he came back! Woohoo! It was the best day ever, he called us and told us he was back and that he wanted to go with us to one of our lessons because he missed us. AWE, he is so awesome. 

We had 2 Exposicion del LDM which were good, we got a lot of references for the other areas. We have to go to them all because we are the missionaries of the references but its fun. 

We helped haitians move houses and Madsen took me in the wheel barrel haha. Also the haitians are really good at carrying stuff on their heads haha. I didn't get a picture but it was funny to see them.

This week we out 2 baptismal dates! One with Marta and one with Danitza, they are both progressing and we hope that they will continue keeping their commitments. 

On Sunday there where a lot more members in the church. I think there were 10! It was a miracle. We didn't have any investigators but for me it's more important to have members than to have an investigator because they are remembering their covenants.

This Saturday we will know about our transfers! Im sad because i think hermana Aquino will leave...she's awesome... But it's the mission whoo hoo!

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day

First off, I LOST MY GLOVE!!! We were walking and contacting and then I got cold so I wanted to wear my gloves and reached into my pocket and my glove was gone! We looked everywhere and I asked a lot of people but its missing. Oh, well. Good way to start off the week I guess with a humbling experience.

But really, this week was good. We had a lot of service projects. We picked up leaves and washed windows. We also went and visited a lady whos name is Rut and she was baptized but never recieved the Holy Ghost so she has to have all of the lessons again. 

We also had a good lesson with Patricio and he had never prayed before but we told him that he has to pray or else we cant keep visiting him. He finally broke down and said fine and prayed, it was the most simple prayer and we had to help him but he prayed! It was awesome! 

We also have an investigator who is awesome and her name is Marta. Her sons are super awesome too and they can sing! Her son Eduardo can also play Guitar!! They are a family of GOLD!

And this week it RAINED and RAINED. It rained so much that we wore garbage bags!! But we still got wet lol. But I taught Hermana Aquino to sing rain rain go away come again another day. And also Its raining cats and dogs outside haha. 

On Sunday the missionaries and 3 haitians came to church and I gave another talk and so did Hermana Aquino. So our relief society was me, hermana Aquino and hermana Hunzeker so we just talked. Haha hopefully more people will start coming to church but they are lazy when its cold haha. 

But, hopefully it doesnt rain more and we stay dry this next week and you all enjoy your week of summer and sun while im here in the freezing!

In Talca getting my Visa renewed.  Meeting up with some old friends!  See Hermana Lyons!?

This week was crazy, we had interviews with our president and then after we went to Talca which is like 2 and a half hours in bus from our house on Wednesday and we stayed in the house of other missionaries and then in the morning we went and did things for my Visa so that im not illegal here in Chile haha. Then on Thursday we went to Rancagua after doing everything in Talca which is like 3 hours from Talca. We were really sick of riding in a bus haha. So this week we were not in our secor a lot.

This week Madsen (a member who helps us a lot) moved to live in Santiago for work!! NOOO it was a very sad day when he called us to tell us. But its okay, he needs to work.

On Sunday we started sacrament meeting with the 6 missionaries and 1 chilean haha. But later more came. They just have a hard time getting out of bed because its so cold! But then we got to watch the Devotional from President Nelson! It was awesome and I hope you all had the chance to watch it and do the 5 things that he challenged to do. I can imagine itll be hard but i know that itll be an awesome thing!

We went and got ice cream after we heard that Madsen moved because we were so sad!
