Happy Birthday Chile!

This week EVERYONE was partying ALL week! They literally celebrated the 18th for an entire week! No one wanted to listen to us and it was kind of hard. but we made it through and this week will be better!

We hiked a mountain with a cute family in the Branch! The Family Murillo! They are so cute! It was really fun!

We also had a recent convert who was serving a mini mission come home and he has helped us a lot! It was really awesome! We had a great lesson with 2 Haitians named Donald and Carlens. It was good because they could explain the things they understood to each other in Creole.

We also taught Alcindor and he told us he drinks Alcohol and likes to drink coffee every day so we bought him Ecco which is a drink like coffee but without caffeine. Its pretty good actually. I don't like coffee and I didnt like it at the beginning of my mission but the Chileans drink it so much that I like it now haha.

One day we left and I forgot my name tag and we were contacting a guy and i said " hi, im hermana....(went to touch my name tag)...NOOOO" the guy was really shocked and it was kind of awkward. But im sure ill never forget my name tag again haha.

We had a fun activity in the Branch. They danced a lot of the traditional dances of Chile. It was kind of weird but it was fun!

Today we went to the mountains with a member Rodrigo. He is awesome! But we went in Bike. It was really far it took 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to come back but it was awesome :)

I hope you all had a great week!

Better than Christmas (casi)

Finally got the package my family sent!  Thank you soooo much!

This week was good! We had our conference with a lot of zones because we had 2 members of the area 70! It was really good! We talked a lot about working with the members and how important they are!

Daniela accepted a baptismal date! WOOHOO! We are working with her a lot and she is really excited and loves to learn and read the book of mormon. She is progressing really well!

Hermana Dias loves the lotion!  Thanks Katie!
This week is 18 de Septiembre which is the independence day of Chile so there are SO many Parties. They literally party more for this than for Christmas! Its crazy!

We got cambios and we are staying together :)

Cutest Baby!
One of our investigators had her Baby! She is sooo cute! Her name is Patricia :) I wanted to hold her so bad but I was obedient to the rules and didn't do it! haha
One of the people we are teaching told us that he likes the Mormons because they always wear long dresses and dress good! Haha he is Haitian and has a lot of friends in Haiti that are members. He also has a baptismal date :) Have a great week!

One says pasamos agosto because all of the old people don't like august because the temperature changes a lot so a lot of them get sick and die so they have parties when they are passed august!  haha

Already September!

Hermana Dias and Me, eating our Pizza, YUM!
Well the time is just flying by! The weeks feel like days!

This week was really good but went by really fast.

We are teaching a Haitian named Alcindor and he had received the lessons before and so he
We found a cute cat on the street!
knows a lot. He told us that he wants to be a missionary! He is super awesome:)

One day all of our lessons had fallen through and we were super tired of walking around and it was cold and things just weren't going our way. So we decided to pray, and as I was praying a lady who was talking on the phone passed. Well I couldnt just stop praying so I finished and she was already pretty far away at this point and we didn't want to yell at her and run her down so we just thought it wasn't meant to be. Then a Haitian came up and started talking to me in English but he was saying really bad words and so we were like yeah okay Chao and he left. So I asked Hermana Dias what she felt and where we should go because I honestly felt nothing and I was feeling like my prayer wasn't answered and that I suck at receiving revelation. But Hermana Dias said "we need to just wait a minute" so we waited and the SAME lady who had passed when we were praying passes again and we contacted her and she told us to come to her house and teach her! WOW what a miracle! Her name is Daniela and she is super awesome! God listens to our prayers we just need to be willing to.......wait.

We also taught a cute little old lady named Rosa. She reminds me a lot of Irma so I was super happy to find her. She loves to read! She read the pamphlet we left her and she is just a cute little old lady.

One day we bought Pizza! Woohoo! It was super yummy and we ate it all. ðŸ‘Œ

We met the lady who came up to us last week saying that she wanted us to come to her house. Her family is really cute. They live in the country part of San Vicente, like 20 minutes in bike, so we only went once but we taught all of her family and they have a lot of desires to keep learning.

This week I was reading a book called Believing Christ. It is super awesome and I recommend it. But it was talking about how a lot of people Believe IN Christ but not a lot of people Believe Christ. There is a big difference because we all can believe that Christ lives and that he loves us but believing Christ is saying that we believe that he can do all things and that he can save us and make us clean again from our sins. That he has the power and ability to cleanse us from all things impure and make it so we can become more perfect and one day be worthy of a Celestial life.

Have a great week!
