Taking the train to Rancagua.

Hermana Soares

We took the Train to Rancagua because This week we had our zone conference with President and Hermana Harris and it was really good we talked about the Plan of Salvation.  We did drawings of the Plan and studied it for about 3 weeks which helped a lot to be able to teach it to others.

Stolen Grapes

Family Night!
This week was kind of long and we did not have a lot of success haha. Most of our lessons fell through and we walked and walked contacting people for a really long time every day.
Cleaning our Backyard!  We have an orange tree!

Me, H. Soares,E Jensen, Castillo, Smith and Barre.
On Tuesday we walked for about and hour looking for a reference and we got lost and I got sunburnt! So we called Hermano Mario to see if he could come pick us up and we were waiting and all of the sudden there was a noise in the bushes, there is like a Wall of bushes separating the road from a vineyard and we looked and there were 3 men climbing out of the bushes with buckets of grapes!! They were stealing grapes! Well they came and offered grapes to us so we wouldn't tell anyone that they had been stealing. So then Hermana Soares asked how they knew we were hungry and they started talking to us like we couldn't speak spanish, They were like holding the grapes up saying "comida" "familia" "Hambre" we were like oh, okay thank you, but we can speak spanish haha. Then they walked away down the road. Then we got in the car with Hermano Mario and turned around and the same 3 men were showing the grapes and were "hitch Hiking" or in spanish "Haciendo Dedo" and Hermano Mario said, "dont buy or give them rides because those grapes are stolen" We said " We know! We watched them climb out of the bushes and we have some of the stolen grapes!"
Being Goofy!

Service Project, H. Soares, me E. Smith and Barre.

We were cutting wood for Nenita for the winter, she is awesome, she organizes our lunches!

The Elders of Hospital had a baptism on Saturday but they don't have a Font so they had it in Paine and it was really awesome. A family of 3 were baptized and Ivan our investigator came.

Nothing much happened this week. But I hope you all have a good week!

District Conference

This week was kind of a long week. We had a lot of things to do and not a lot of time haha. We had our interviews with our President which is always a good time. Then we had intercambios with our Hermana Leaders .I went and stayed the day in Buin with Hermana Llanquinao. It was a good day, it's fun to be with a different companion for a day meet new people. Then we had our District Conference which is just Stake Conference but with a District haha. It was really good. They talked about the sabbath day a lot.  It was the theme of the conference and it was really helpful to hear some ideas and ways we can teach in our lessons.
Hna Weaver, Bracho, Me, Soares, Llanquinoa, and Ramirez

Me and Hermana Llanquinoa.  My companion for the day in Buin.
Then on Sunday night we had a lesson in a part of Paine that is really far away, like 30 minutes by Bus,  so we went and got there fine,  but then to go home there were NO buses No taxis and the person we were teaching doesn't have a car so we were STRANDED! I prayed and prayed and we prayed as a companionship and...I also cried because if you know me you know that time is really important to me, and also maybe it's just me,  but we were stranded in Chile, 30 minutes by auto, from our house. It was terrible to say the least. But finally a Colectivo (taxi) passed but we had to pay a crazy amount of money for him to drop us of in Paine. Welcome to the life of a missionary haha.

But we have a really awesome investigator named Ivan, he is from Ecuador and he is super ready to receive the gospel in his life! He always tells us to have faith and be confident that he will do the things we ask and that he will read and come to church haha. He is teaching us to have more faith. I thought it was the other way around but he is awesome haha.

Have a good week! Love you all, thanks for your prayers and love.

200 Contactos

We got a challenge from our mission president to contact 200 people every week. That's 30 people everyday! A contact that counts is when we invite them to do something and so we have to talk to them more than just "hola" haha its difficult sometimes. But, this week we contacted 130 people which is a good start. I'm excited to keep contacting.
Family Night with some of the Members of the Branch.
