Last Letter

Well this week was good! Man the time is flying by!

We did an "unplanned" service project this week! We hauled wood from the street to a wheel barrel and boy do my legs hurt haha! It was a good time though! At the end the guy wanted to pay us haha! We were like " no no we don't want anything, it was just a service!"

We are teaching a super awesome guy named Alejandro and he told us this week that he knows that if he prays and asks God if these things are true that He will respond! He is reading the Book of Mormon and is just so amazing! It's not everyday that we find people that are really just so interested in finding the truth! I hope he can keep reading and praying!

We made brownies this week and ate them with vanilla ice cream! It was a little piece of heaven! Woohoo!

We went to another party with my fav Haitians! They really know how to party! I love them and I will miss them a lot! They always want to make us food! It's so yummy but they always give us sooo much!!!

Okay and GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!!!! It was awesome! The prophet was just "Dando palo allí" (there isn't a translation)  It was a General Conference really direct! All of the talks were so focused on repentance and the importance of receiving revelation and having a Christ centered home! I am excited to be able to read the talks again and keep receiving revelation!

Well, this is my last letter and so I would like to share my testimony.

First off I know that missionary work changes lives. Not just the lives of the people we teach but the lives of missionaries. I will never forget these last 18 months and the friends I have made and the lives that I have helped come to know the truth and also the change that I have been able to make as a person and be able to come to know Christ more personally. I know the importance of repenting every day and how important it is to rely 100 percent on God and letting him play a part in our lives! I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ and that We have a prophet on the earth today that receives revelation for us! I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the guidance it gives us in our lives. I love my family and the opportunity that we have to be together for all the eternity.
one of my favorite quotes from this week is "We get a glimpse into our Heavenly Father's character as we recognize the immense compassion He has for sinners and appreciate the distinction He makes between sin and those who sin" Dale G Renlund

Have a great week and remember that God loves us all!

El corte de 4 pasos

Got to see Hermana Bracho at Zone Conference!
Well, we got hair cuts last week. It was......rough.... First it was rough because I didn't really know how to explain what I wanted in spanish. I just wanted her to cut a little and well 7 inches later I walked out of the barber shop. Also hermana Klines cut was really crazy! The lady cut her hair in 4 steps and it took like 10 minutes! So, a word of advise, don't cut your hair in Chile!

This week we had our zone conference and it was good. We learned about the Doctrine of Christ. I also had to give my last testimony and it was really nerve racking but it was good.

A lady this week started talking about the TV series "sister wives" and saying that they are members of the church and all sorts of random things about Polygamy. It was really weird. We now have to study a lot about Polygamy to help her understand why it is not okay haha.

We got late to church this week which was rough but also okay because a family we are teaching came with us! It was super awesome!

PS to all it is General Conference this week! WOOHOO! Get ready for the changes!

Have a good week!

Nice People!

This week was good. We were able to work hard and see some miracles.

This week we went to by a clothes hanger line thing.....to dry our clothes on...and it said it was like 15 mil but when we got to the cash register it was 20 mil! I was like, nope, no way....the lady said it was more because we had to buy it with the falabella credit card to have the discount BUT the nicest guy behind us said " I'll pay with my card if you pay me after" Well yeah! It was the nicest thing anyone had done for us all week! Now we can hang our clothes to dry! woohoo! There are still nice people in the world!

We had intercambios this week and they were good! I always learn a lot when we have them. I was with hermana Christensen and she is so cute and just loves to be a missionary!

We saw the cutest dog ever which really helped us not hate dogs so much! haha

We had a great family home evening with a cute family in our ward who is from Brazil! They are so amazing and help us a lot with the obra misional! They want to move to the states because they have a daughter who lives there and we talked with her yesterday for skype and it made me realize how bad my english is haha! It was hard to speak with her! But it's a good thing I think!

That's about it! Have a great week!

Wild Dogs

This week was good! We were able to find a lot of people to teach. A lot of families which is always a blessing!

We painted a fence with Alejandra this week! 👍it's always good to do some service!  Alejandra loves us and she bought me Peanut Butter ice cream! It is really, really hard to find here but she did it just for me and I love her a lot! It was yummy and it's first time I have eaten it here in Chile! I almost cried of joy!
We also ate pie on pie day! 3.14, it was a good day.
Pie on Pie Day!

We had interviews this week and they were good. We played all around the world ping pong with Hermana Harris so that was fun! Haha. President talked with me a little about going home and that was kind of sad but what are we gonna do? Just accept it I guess!

So to explain my title a little, Hermana Kline was bit by a dog this week! Basically there are wild dogs everywhere here! We cannot walk in the street without seeing a dog and dogs love to chase bicycles. We ride bikes every day so it's always a struggle. I always put my legs up and close my eyes and scream a little when they start to chase me but hermana kilne is really relaxed and well the other day a dog chased us and I put up my legs, closed my eyes and screamed and kept going but hermana Kline was going slow and well, it bit her.Lucky enough it didn't break the skin so we didn't have to go have her get a shot! so to sum it up I HATE WILD DOGS!

That about sums it up, so have a great week!

A Week in the Sun

Valentinas Baptism, she is amazing!
This week was good but we were in the street contacting a lot! It was kind of sucky haha. No one was home and we had a hard time getting into the houses but we taught a really awesome kid named Sebastian! We had been trying to teach him for like 3 weeks and finally we got to teach him and he had a lot of questions but it was a really spiritual lesson and we hope to be able to visit him more.

The Haitians we are teaching had a party and invited us! haha it was fun! They had a lot of food and made us eat a lot haha! But it was good! They party hard haha! They like to dance a lot!
Party with the Haitians.

Valentina se bautizó! woohoo! It was a very special day! Her dad isnt really interested in the gospel for now but he came to her baptism and also was at church the whole time on Sunday! It was super special for her to be able to show her dad what she was doing and why she was doing it! It was super amazing! Seeing someone get baptized is one of my favorite parts of the mission because I love their faces after they come out of the water! They are always so happy and it is super spiritual :)

We also had our zone meeting and it was sadly my last zone meeting! I cant believe that all of the lasts are coming! The time has flown by and I feel like it was yesterday that I was in the mtc going to the mission field! But I know that a lot of lives have been changed in this last year and a half!

have a great week and remember that God loves us all!

Making Sopaipillas!
Well this week was good! We have been working super hard trying to just keep helping the people recieve their salvation.

We are teaching the daughter of Alejandra that just got baptized and she is AMOR! She is so cute and adorable! She knows so much and is really excited to get baptized!

We had a really awesome FHE with the Ward! It was food from all over the world! We had it from our Haitian friends and from the people from Venezuela and from Ecuador and of course Chile! It was really fun! We made no bake cookies and it was a hit! everyone loved them!

We also had a great lesson with the Haitians that we are teaching! They didn't really understand the Priesthood and so we had to explain really well and finally they understood and they said they are going to pray and ask God if they should be baptized. It was an amazing lesson. We went with a member and he helped us a lot too! GREAT

Today we went to a members house and we made Sopaipillas! They were super yummy!

That's about it! It was a good week and the

time is just flying by!

Un Bautismo, una Fe y Señor

Aquino and me!
Well this week went by fast! I cant believe its Monday again!

This week we had intercambios with our Hermana leader and it was good. We always can learn something new from other missionaries.

We also had our Zone conference which was good. We talked about the importance of our studies and that we need to use them to be more prepared for the day and be able to use our time wisely. It was good! I also go to see Hermana Aquino! My bestest friend in the Mission!!!!!!!! She also gave her last testimony and I cried because she is going home in 2 weeks....I'll miss her a lot but it's okay. I love that we can create such great friendships on the mission.
Alejandras Baptism, it was so spiritual!

Alejandra was Baptized! WOOHOO She is amazing and she was so ready to make this promise with God. It was super special and spiritual.

There is a recent convert here named Manuel and he wanted to learn about D&C so Hermana Kline said "let's read D&C 76 about the Kingdoms of Glory with him" I said "okay!" Well we got done teaching and he was like "wow hermanas eso fue muy profundo para mi...." (that was way too deep(?) for me) well whoops, we won't do that again! Haha!
Alejandra is awesome!

A family here is adopting a little girl so we had a welcome shower for the mom! It was really fun!

That's about all, have a great week!

Until After the Trail of our Faith

Me and Hermana Kline, she is from Colorado.
This week was pretty good. Things here are still pretty HOT but it just makes us "shine" even more. haha

This week we had a lot of trials of our faith. It is really really hot and it just so happened that all of our lessons kept falling through. So we contacted. We were in the sun for like 7 hours every day but we just kept working! Then at the end of the week we found 4 haitians that speak perfect spanish and english and they literally were so interested. They said they had been waiting for something like this in their lives. They went to church on Sunday and said that it was the most beautiful thing they had ever experienced and that they want to go every
week to feel the same way. Wow it was a miracle.

Also Alejandra is going to get baptized on Saturday! Woohoo! She passed her interview and is so so excited!

We taught a man named Germán, he is really cool and he has some desires to learn more and he also has a baptismal date. He lives alone and is a school teacher. We are excited to keep helping him reach his goal of being baptized.
Fire in the field next to our apartment
It was pretty close.
Okay, so last night (Sunday night) at about 1 in the morning, I woke up and there was a lot of light
shining through the window so I opened the curtain and there was a FIRE! We live in an apartment building and behind it there is a big field with a lot of dead grass and it was all on fire. So I was super shocked and then I said "hermana Kline, there is fire!" and we watched as the firefighters tried to put it out and it was just growing bigger and bigger so we decided to pray and put some clothes in a backpack  if we needed to leave. After about 30 minutes the fire started to go out and we went back to bed but it was super scary. When we woke up it was all burnt but we were blessed that the fire didn't get to our apartment building. I know that God was watching over us.

Have a great week!
